ABOUT OUR RUM CAKES

CRUCIAN RUM CAKES

We Make Rum Cakes the old-fashioned way

                             -WITH LOTS OF RUM -

                                      Good Rum.

                                   CRUZAN RUM.

And we don't waste the world's smoothest rum

                                     by baking it in.

                           What's the point of that?

Nor do we merely brush a bit over the top.

                               We SOAK our cakes

                                   -THREE TIMES-

in an amazing syrup made exclusively with

                               CRUZAN DARK RUM.

That means the rum soaks all the way through.

Are  you starting to get the picture here?

This is no RUN-OF-THE-MILL (get it?) rum cake.

This is rum cake the way locals do it.

      WARNING TO TRAVELLERS

"The temptations that surround the traveller on his arrival in the islands are great.  And the incitements to indulgence almost over-powering.  Yet they must be resisted...

"..on first landing, the craving desire for liquids is almost incessant, and most distressing; and the more the traveller drinks the more his desire for drink increases, and by indulging this depraved appetite, there arises that vicious habit of tippling in the morning which too often ends in confirmed drunkeness....

"The climate of the West Indies is neither favorable to mental energy, nor conducive to moral habits; and more especially, if the monotony of the same pursuits and indulgences be superadded."

 "The West Indies"

         - Sir Andrew Halliday
